sorry about that man... everyone deserves a day off, even if it is to take the young'uns to the zoo.

whenever... this weekend is fine. i'll get the info from her on which books she specifically is after. that may take me a day or so.

also, she talked to her principal, and the other suggested matter went over very well and with much gratitude. i'll get from you and give you more info on that when we talk.

Your sister and I finally chatted on the Phone Phil. She is a sweetheart of a nice person! A box of books is on the way to her! ...I just hope Rita spares that area! (well I really hope she spins out to sea but that isn't looking likely!)

w00t! thanks Mike.

so far, it looks like her area shouldn't get hit too bad... they'll just get really wet, which is bad for all those people who just dried out, but don't have a way to keep the water out.

thankfully, Paula's house was one of the lucky ones in her neighborhood that kept almost the entire roof.

i'm seeing though that parts of New Orleans are going back under again... the broken levees are being overtopped.

here in BR, we'll probably get a ton of rain and some heavy winds as the Northern and Easter sides of the storm will be on us for the next 24 hours or so. so Rita may actually be worse for us that 'trina.

i'll see you guys when the power comes back on. *crosses fingers*

power came back surprisingly quick. Entergy is busting butt down here.

everyone is ok. more debris in the yard... bunches of branches down... Rita was WET WET WET. 10" of rain in about 24 hours... much more rain than i recall from Katrina. peak winds about 65 mph, sustained about 55 mph.
not too bad, but i've got a new roof leak... the guy is coming out this week to fix it.
