I have not come across a viable indash monitor solution. There is not a unit there that clears the dash with out modification even after that it is set too low for practicle purposes. I did how ever install the Alpine DVA-7996 head unit which is a DD head unit that plays cds and Mp3s. Then I just connected it to the alpine screen and mounted that on the dash. The screen comes with the mount.

Thanks! Labor was $1000 including all my amp/ speaker wiring, custom fabrication, custom glass tweeter pods, etc.

Certainly not a project for the budget minded! But as the saying goes, you get what you pay for!
