Default Infinity Basslink II install

Has anyone installed the Infinity Basslink II? Just curious if there are any pics out there of installs? Couldn't find any out there....

I'm still waiting for mine to come in (on back order for over a month ). I've got the optional 4sc (additional amp module) sittin' here waiting to be plugged in!!

Anywho, I'm looking to install it in the trunk well. Probably the best place to mount it. Any suggestions, thoughts, ideas??

Based on the size of the Basslink I we have in my wife's 3000GT, I don't think the unit will fit into either quarter in the trunk. I could be wrong.

I've seen owners that have installed amps vertically on a board to the left of the spare tire. The Basslink might fit there. Of course, there's always the tool well.

Good luck with it. The Basslink's a great unit.

I have had a basslink for 3 years. Works much better with an aftermarket headunit. It fits perfectly in the right corner. To help keep it in place I put strips of velcro (hook side) on the bottom and side facing brake lights. I kept my wires long enough to move it around the trunk easily.

Wow! That's perfect! The Basslink II is slightly larger (in depth, I think), so it should still work.

Knowing how good this sounds in my wife's car, now I'm thinking of going this route for my 2000. Thanks for the pic!

Yup, it's slightly taller...

Basslink I (HxWxD) 14-1/2" x 12-1/2" x 8"

Basslink II (HxWxD) 15-1/16" x 15-5/16" x 8-3/4"

Thanks for the pics, I like the idea of making it maneuverable. BTW, it is going with an aftermarket. Installed an Alpine 9856 about a week ago with Infinity Kappa Perfect components to round it off. The optional module that plugs into the Basslink II will power those.....can't wait to get this thing hooked up!!!!
I do still want to have the ability to fit the golf clubs in the trunk
Also, I don't want to lose my spare tire. So my options are limited I guess.

My Basslink I has about 1/4" clearance and the spare tire cover will flex another 1/2" maybe, but that's not enough for 15 1/16" wide. Perhaps the II will fit on the left side or with the spare tire cover removed. As most of you know, the spare tire can be moved around a bit before locking down.

Good luck!

I would jump on DarkKnights groupbuy. Its a MUCH better product than a basslink (ask anyone here, I am an Infinity whore) will be less invasive, look better, and sound WORLDS better.

Unfortunately it takes up a large amount of trunk space. This is an issue if you like to travel in your car. Having the well is nice as it is sized to standard airline carry on baggage.

Don't think the group buy could even come close to the deal I got. There may be better products out there, but I couldn't pass this deal up. Got the Kappa Perfect 6.1 components and the Basslink II with the optional amplifier expansion module for under 400 before shipping.
