Default Infinity Component Speakers 6000cs

Crutchfields has the Infinity Infinity Kappa 60.5cs for $179 and the Infinity Reference 6000cs for $129. Looks like some really good deals on quality components that will fit into the stock locations of a MY04.

What speakers would you recommend? Are the Kappa's worth the extra dough? I'm going to power them with an Eclipse head unit but no amp.

think I got it figured out...with the sensitivity differences between the two speakers the refernce series is better suited for head unit power and the Kappa speakers will require additional amplification to perform well.

If you look around the internet a little, you can probably find Kappa perfects for around $200.00. That's what I did, and I'm a huge fan (as are a lot of people on this site).

Id recommend STRONGLY against acaraudio.com, as their customer service blows huge.

Get these: Infinity Kappa 60.5cs

I have them and my ears ring all the time even with the top down. They are a loud and clean. I am pushing 100rms to them. You won't be able to tell the difference between these and the Perfects if you power them right and tune them right. They are awesome and you wouldn't regret buying them.

Good luck....

Use coupon code PA166 for $20 off a $100+ purchase (using a MasterCard card)!

I just ordered the 6000cs with the coupon.

You're right, the higher the sensitivities, the less power it will needed to produce the same sound pressure level. For every 3 dB increase in the sensitivity rating, you will need half the power of the less sensitive speakers to hear the sound at the same level.
