NFRs2000NYC - If i remember correctly, you said that if were just running a aftermarket head unit the best speakers to use would be the Infinity Reference 6000cs right. However if we would run an amp, we should run a speaker like the kappas. Something like, running the speaker with enough power rather than underpowering them which wont give us a good sound right.
I installed the speakers (6000cs) this weekend with poor results. Speakers offer clearer sound no question but I now have no low end bass and I've got hissing from the tweets that wasn't noticable before. This is with the stock deck.
I'm thinking that the hissing is just because the tweeters have more range and are picking up information that the stock tweets do not...if this is so how do I remedy this?..or am I completely off.
As for the low end, I cut out the rear of the door speaker mounts to fit just around the magnet and thought this would give enough room to breath...I know that if the air flow is restricted I'm going to kill the bass....any ideas on why I'm getting no bass?

SF, I installed the 60.5cs in my doors and refrences behind the seats. I strongly recommend putting speakers back there. I had no idea how much of a diffrence there would be until i put them in + the added bass. Click on that"MY S" thing in my sig and then click on the stereo folder.
Yes, I'm going to do an install behind the seats also...already got the speakers and panels out...I want to resolve the problem with the front speakers before I go any futher though.
Doesn't do me any good to add speakers if they sound like crap.
