Thumbs up Infrared DCI installed. Not able to change tracks.

Well I have an infrared Modifry DCI isntalled to my Eclipse head unit.
Voume works, mute works and I can change from cd to radio or to am/fm etc. I cannot change the track though. When I push CH or whatever it makes a beep but won't actually change anything. Is it supposed to work for that? Makes having the rest of the controls kinda pointless if I still have to leave the radio door open to change stations or tracks.
Any ideas?

I have the Eclipse AVN5510 dual din but then I didn't bother getting the mofidry since I read it's only compatible w/ ten something aftermarket decks. I figured either half or none of the controls will work so I didn't get it.

^ on my Aline with the DCI-IR you tap the mode button to change tracks and the ch button to change radio stations.

Try that and see if it works.

^ Right now I tap the Mode button to change between cd and radio and input. CH only makes a beep and does nothing for me.

You are not doing it properly. If memory serves (I haven't driven my car in 3 months),

To change TRACKS on a CD/IPOD with fullspeed or integrated connection:

1)Hold Mode and hit up or down on the volume knob. (If it doesn't work, use the CH button.)

2)To change stations (FM, XM, etc) hold Ch, and press up or down.

Try it and report back.
