With headlights turned on

With headlights turned off





please help, this is especially an issue when I drive at night. I can’t see how fast I’m going or how much gas I have ( yes I’ve checked fuses under footwell and under the hood ) and I’ve pressed the + button and it doesn’t get brighter

Try holding down the + button. I recall it would greatly enhance the brightness but I could be wrong.

Sounds like something more complicated than just a blown fuse - sometimes bad grounds can
create unusual current paths, or could be a problem with the gauge cluster/brightness controller
itself.
There are some troubleshooting instructions in the service manual (Body Electrical section).
