Interest in an In-Dash Stereo/MP3 Player/COMPUTER?
Here's a combination that might work off the shelf. Use this ultra-mini PC as a server (connect to an invertor for power) http://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/computing/59ef.shtml and use this as the display device http://www.slimdevices.com. That cost would be over $1000 but you can always substitue a larger server for less money.
The Cappucino, believe it or not, I've already looked at, and its not what I'm looking for. No expandablility or customization like I want/need. The air circulation required would not work well as a DIN unit, plus controls.
Now, if you mean use the SlimMp3 player as a disply to go where the radio goes, and then run Ethernet to the Cappucino mounted elsewhere, thats not a bad idea. Still not what i'm looking for though.

hi,
If you're looking for small boards, these are about 17cm square, and the lower end one is fanless!
http://www.casetronic.com/Product/PCcase/2...CS-2677.html#MB
they retail for about 70-80GBP so about 130$ I think..
Onboard audio, video, usb, network, IDE....and very small!
