Default iPad Mini to Amp

I have searched and probably since I am an audio idiot...cant really find what I am looking for or understand. I have an iPad Mini that I want to hook up to my amp. I want to play the music off the iPad through the amp. I am not an audiophile so the quality does not have to be tremendous...was hoping I could run a headphone jack to the amp? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah you could do that when i was working as an installer we would test amp's rca inputs using an ipod and a rca to mini plug. The sound quality wont be the best buy thats pretty much all you need. Also a lot of guys who mount speakers onto their bikes use just a mini cable to an ipod or media player.

If you want to get fancy, a dock like this will charge your iPad while also supplying the RCAs for the amp
through the connector rather than the headphone jack, and even fancier add a JL CL-RLC which will boost
the signal to the range the amp would normally get from a headunit, and provide a handy volume control knob.

Just an update, thanks to oth, I purchased THIS, and it works perfectly. Charges the iPad and plays the music through my amp!

Out of curiosity, how are you mounting the mini, if at all?

Stalk mount that bolts to the passenger seat front left bolt. Don't have a pic of it yet, but here is my old set up:

This amp looks interesting, but I don't think it's out yet.
