Default IPhone 3 to Factory Head Unit adapter

Just want to know if anyone has successfully connected their IPhone3 (yep ..I'm a little behind the times) to their factory radio? Found this:

USA Spec PA15-HON2 and am wondering if it works - does it charge the IPhone and can you use the dash controls? Thanks

There's just the PA15-HON2 for AP2's (check the USA Spec site) unless a vendor has some stock of the other interface for AP1's. As far as I can tell, all 3 of your links are for the PA-15HON2. Click on Details on the Crutchfield site and/or contact them to verify. Your last 2 links are just from different Amazon vendors.

Thanks .....

So does the PA15-HON2 plug into the back of the radio or to the CD cable in the trunk?
