Question IPOD with factory stereo

hi guys,i purchased a DENSION ipod interface to work with my factory s2000 stereo.it worked fine for about 10 months.recently i lost the cd changer function to control my ipod adapter so i bought another dension ipod interface thinking that was the problem.it worked again for a while but on drives longer than 1 hour the ipod interface stops working and i lose cd changer power again.i have to keep unplugging the 10 amp fuse to my headunit and resetting stereo to get cd changer fuctions back to power my ipod.any ideas?is my headunit staring to fail?should i buy an aftermarket headunit with ipod interface?i love my IPOD and want to keep it as part of my car stereo system. any advice would be helpful,thanks...todds2000

I would go ahead and upgrade your headunit to an Alpine model that controls the ipod. You will gain greater control and your sound quality will also improve.
