Is there any way to wire up the ipod to the oem radio other than using that little FM transmitter then they got?

Also, has anyone used the fm transmitter, how good does it work if so

With the appropriate adapter, you can add a RCA line-in to your existing stock radio. You can use this to plug in a Ipod, Rio Karma, Creative Nomad, or any other device with a headphone output. You'll need this:

For MY2004+ S2000
For MY2000-2003 S2000

You'll also need a ground loop isolator. This prevents a whining noise when driving at highway speeds. Try Radio Shack or Fry's.

I installed it in my 2004 in about an hour. There are several threads with installation details. When seach is back up, give it a go.

BTW, if you haven't bought an Ipod yet, check out the Rio Karma. It's good stuff.

I've used an iRock with my iPod and iRiver mp3 players and it works ok. The sound quality is not great, but for the price it's worth it. Now I have a new head unit that has an AUX in that i plug my iRiver into. If you want to hook up often and have good sound quality that's the way to go. My deck is an Eclipse 8454.

Buy yourself and iRiver at BestBuy or someplace similar, try it out and if you don't like it bring it back.
