Might go with USA Spec although I don't see anything about a group buy in that thread..? Anyone have a pic of their setup?

I'm interested in something like this too, but Crutchfield's website says its not compatable with the stock 07 radio... is this just a misprint or incorrect info in their database?

Edit: Just looked at USA-Spec's website and it looks like the PA15-HON2 is compatable with 04+, and even integrates with the XM button to display track info. Pretty neat, I think I'll be giving it a shot.
Kris, When Circuit City was going out of business..they had this ipod plug in for our stock headunit and it worked for all year models from 2000 - 2009. I have that in my car currently as of right now and it works awesome! It charges and plays clear music at the same time. You're able to use the function on your ipod only though. But I love mines! Can't beat it for the price of $25 bucks!

If you don't care about it charging and just want the audio, you can always buy a wired FM Modulator. The newer ones don't require a switch, they kick on as soon as it detects a signal coming from the iPod/MP3 player. You can pick them up for like $30 or so.

...and moving this to Electronics

Those FM thing sucks, not worth it in my opinion. It interferes with radio frequencies so it's not the best sound. You wouldn't want to go AUX route either as you may not have full control from the control unit on the left of the steering wheel and of course, it won't charge through that.
Won't go FM route. But also don't care about left hand controls and not charging.

If your thinking wireless modulator, I agree they do suck. The wired ones work great. They plug inline with the radio antenna, and when activated it shuts out all incoming frequencies except the one you set yours on. That's what the FCC has suggested for Satellite radios. I agree that it's not the best solution (sound quality, control, and charging), but nevertheless the cheapest route.

With any of these options, where do you feed the wire(s)? Through the center counsel or behind and through the bottom?
Depends on where you mount the iPod/iPhone.

I don't even need to mount the iPhone/nano in a holder, planning on just laying in in the center slot. But if you run the wire through the front, you obviously wont be able to close the stereo lid correct?

Just got my USA-SPEC today and installed it right away. Instruction manual sucks but it works great! Awesome audio quality and pretty cool to get the text on the screen. Definitely worth the $120.
