Default Ipod/MP3 player hookup Question

My question is, Is there a way to remove the factory radio, and still hook up an ipod or mp3 player to play though the car speakers? I want to get rid of the radio because that spot would make a great spot to hide my turbo gauges behide the radio flip door. Any way what so ever to do this? Buy some kind of amplifier or converter to make this work, something I can tuck behind something and never have to touch after the mp3 player is hooked in

This has been asked before - short answer is - no.

You would have to have something to convert and power the speakers in the car, the ipod mp3 players do not have enough power to do that.

It can be done, but will cost way more than its worth do get it to work.
