Ruexp, I have no experience with an Ipod (never owned one),
You will get MUCH better sound quality (although, NFR might be overstating it a bit) if you use some adapter that connects to the dock connector on the iPod as opposed to a "line-in" aux connector (headphone jack.)
Keep in mind too, that the majority of the "dock connector" solutions will keep the iPod charged too.
oth, thanks for the suggestion. i have actually decided on a different solution.
i saw the harmon kardan, but i prefer just to have the IPOD with out all those extra gadgets. My interior is small enough as it is.
I am going to get modfry's new mount which he is selling in the sponsor group buys.

then i will integrate the ipod thru my aux input on my radio using the following

This will convert my ipbus to rca, since my aux input right now is being used for my DCI.
then from the above ip bus to rca cable, i will utilize this nifty unit
http://www.sendstation.com/us/products/poc...lineout-fw.html
this will allow me to use the ipod's data port instead of the headset jack. and will allow me to use a charger when necessary.
its either that or the SIK imp, which is similar.
ruexp, i have used itunes before, just not an IPOD. From what I read last night, even with using playlists, its very difficult to find one song if you have a ton of music on your ipod if using one of the headunit integration set ups.
The problem basically is that none of the headunits can replicate the interface of the IPOD.
Thanks for all the help guys, I really appreciate the knowledge on this forum, its invaluable.
