I couldn't get the 51 to fit. If I where to have closed the hood both terminals would have hit the metal and well it would have been ugly.

I dunno guys....I have a 51 and 1.5 years later, with more than 10-20 discharges, still runs as good as new, and keeps a healthy 12.7-9 car off, and 14.4 car on.

WTF is goin on?!

Problem seems to have solved itself. Supply on these has totally dried up.

My OE is still hanging in there, but I really want a replacement.

yup, this definitely feels like a QA/QC issue.... whether parts, assembly, testing, etc.

i'd guess that w/ it being a new size/model - the design was possible marginal as well.
