JL Audio Subwoofer
Did anything ever come out of that guy taking his S2K over to JL Audio to be test fit for the sub enclosure? I have been waiting to hear about it before I did anything. So any news?
I'm waiting for JL Audio too. I hope they come out with something soon. I've used the trunk well to mount two amps, crossover/EQ, fuse terminal and a fan. I hope the JL Audio Stealthbox will fit into one of the sides of the trunk or I'm screwed
Unfortunately i've lost the email address for the direct contact I had at JL Audio since i got laid off...i just emailed one of the guys in charge of bringing his car to JL for fitting and testing and hopefully he'll reply back to me soon...i was going to ask about this a while back but forgot and good thing you posted or else i might have not remembered for a long time

Here's a response I got this morning from Don at JL Audio:
The production model Stealthbox for the S2000 is almost ready for
production. We have the first production part to do final testing for fit
and performance. I hope to get that accomplished next week. Production parts
should be available next month.
The new enclosure fits into the well in the floor of the trunk. It takes up
only about 3 inches more space than the foam insert that used to hold the
jack and tools. This allows you to retain some well space, as well as the
width needed for such things as golf clubs. The spare tire location was
nixed because of a lack of space for the sound to find it's way out of the
spare tire wheel area...it's just too close to the body of the car on top
and bottom.
I'll keep everyone updated when I hear more

That is great news, I am very pleased that they decided to go with using the well. Now my golf clubs will still fit.....Will we be able to order it direct from JL or via a local JL dealer?

this is just an update from the JL Audio guys
Dear Manny,
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the S2000
Stealthbox. We've been amazed at the kind of output it has even though it's
located in the trunk. By the way, it'll be fitted with a 10W3 woofer instead
of a 10W0 as originally planned. That will also make a big difference. Keep
in touch, we should have it ready next month.
Sincerely,
Don Vertrees
