Not planning on making use of the IMPRINT. But the time correction feature is to die for!! It makes the sound system so much better, you can't even tell which speaker the music is coming from, it's great. Just looking for a radio with lots of audio tuning built-in plus good ipod features.

Good to hear your having a good experience with it. I'm still waiting on mine to arrive, so I don't know how to navigate to the time correction. Should be in the manual, and alpine's website does state that it has this feature. Here is alpine's link for more info about IMPRINT: http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/p...model=KTX-100EQ.

The CDA-9887 has just about all of IMPRINT's features built-in except for one, the auto acoustic calibration feature (the main feature of the device). If you look at the CDA-9886 model, almost all of the audio tuning features requires the PXA-H100, but the CDA-9887 has most of it already built in (i.e. time correction, mediaxpander, 5-band gEQ, etc). The KTX-100EQ and the PXA-H100 are the IMPRINT device models. However, the PXA-H100 has the processing power that's already built into the CDA-9887. That's why you need the PXA-H100 for the CDA-9886 head units, but the CDA-9887 uses the KTX-100EQ instead. The KTX-100EQ just seems like a newer version of IMPRINT that will probably be more compatible with their future head units.
