Just picked up na ALPINE 9856 and Modifry

Default Just picked up na ALPINE 9856 and Modifry

ok, finally! im able to replace my stock headunit on my 00..


so i got the Alpine 9856 with Ipod Connector and also picked up a Modifry IR.


do i need a special S2k harness kit for the radio to plug in my car also? what else do i need?

you'll need a harness adaptor to go from the Alpine harness into
the s2000 plug. Generic honda ones are available, but they usually
are missing the wires for the dash controls and the mute. You can:
1) buy the harness from Modifry, which has the wires
2) add the wires to the generic adaptor (the one I had, it was possible
to move an unused pin/wire to the correct position)
3) cut and splice the s2000 dash wires
number 3 is NOT RECOMMENDED!
if you don't have one already, and you can wait for it to arrive, getting the
one from Modifry is the simplest solution

i bought the modifry used from someone local.

i guess ill check out the modifry website for install and see which wires youre talking about.

thanks for the reply i really appreciate it.


my first s2k had an aftermarket sound system setup already so i didnt have to worry about it. but i noticed how stock system sucks really bad
