Default Kill switch + alarm

Hello all. I wanna add two kill switches to my s2k and let the alarm (viper 5704) control one of the kills. The alarm does come with a starter kill but I'm not sure how effective this is against a thief. One kill that I want is the main relay (PGM-FI) and the "other" well i'm not sure. I don't want something thats easy to bypass like the fuel pump kill so i'm open to suggestions. Question is do I use a latching relay and let the alarm control the main relay or use a 1a switch and let the alarm control the "other" kill.

i personally think that a kill switch is no where near as effective as the factory transponder. if a thief can bpass that they will have zero issues with anything else. plus its just somehing else to diagnose when you have issues later on. i wont install a starter kill at work on any transponder vehicle unless specifically requested.

your alarm is a deterrent and a way to alert you more than a guarantee against theft.

x2.
Killswitch is pointless, just get a good alarm, proximity sensor, tilt sensor, and gps tracking.

Thanx for the input guys. I always thought a kill switch would be a good added layer of security.

It is, just not as effective on s2k's as it is on an older civic/integra due to the ease of towing instead of bypassing the immobilizer.

its an added "something to cause issues". get a quality 2-way to let you know when something is going on. leave out all the extra "kills" as you are just introducing weak points in your electrical system that could fail at a very inopportune moment.

I got the idea of "kill switches" from other Honda forums and I guess they mostly drive civics/integras. Someone just told me that it can be dangerous if a relay fails while driving. Definately don't want that.

pretty much..also, don't forget good insurance with comprehensive coverage paired with a low deductible, get all aftermarket parts noted with receipts, and sleep with ease.
