Default Laptop mount for the S

I was wondering if anyone has had good success with any laptop mounts for the S. I make a lot of highway trips and wanted something that would make it a little easier to see/use. I use it mainly for music since the laptop goes everywhere with me but it's also nice to use with my AEM ECU.

You travel alone most the time?

If so I'd suggest just making a mount out of wood (just make a 90degree angle and slide the down side between the seat and the drivetrain hump). This wouldn't be an "all the time" kinda mount, but would give you a nice flat surface to set it on.

And, if you're worried about it bouncing around, get a large strap (velcro would probably be easiest) and strap the laptop to the board.

Easy part to build up, maybe 1/2 an hour, and it's easy to take out of the car when not needed.

Yea that's what I had in mind for the meantime. I think I'll take care of that this weekend.
I was interested in something more along the lines of maybe a U shapped mount that bolts to the passenger side of the transmission tunnel and sits half above the shifter and half above the seat maybe 2-3 inches above the shifter itself. Made of stainless of course and maybe painted/powdercoated black. But that's just an idea I've had in my head for a little while now.

And yes I do travel by myself almost all of the time.

You might try something like this (That's the one they recommend for our cars). It allows you to mount the setup in your car, but it's easy to get back out.

I've not used a laptop in my car yet, so I've not had a reason to try it. So I can't give a review. It seems like it's built well though and it'd be a likely solution for you.

Wow, that's cool. Makes me want a laptop just to use that thing.
