Default LED Resistor Question

Hey guys hopefully a quick question...
I am installing two 3mm leds in my door handles. The LEDs are 3mm rated 2VF @ 20mA. I made a mistake of buying 330 ohm resistors instead of 430 ohm. My question is can I solder two 330 resistors together to safely power the two LEDs? Did a few google searches and seems like I can but just wanted to run it by you guys to hear thoughts and opinions

Yes if you put 2 - 330 ohm resistors in series, you will have 660 ohms.

That will give you 15mA through your LEDs.

Solve by

(V_source - v_led) / resistance = current

(12-2)/660 = .01515

=15mA

The 330ohm by itself would give you 30mA

Edit I just saw you want to install 2 LEDs in each door.

(12-4) / 330 = 24mA
(12-4) / 660 = 12.1mA

Awesome thank you! Good thing I decided to solder while waiting for responses!
