Default Lighting Question

I was driving in my S a few nights ago, when I realized that the light behind the top portion of the A/C selection knob was out.

What kind of light is this, and if its not an LED, what size is it?

Thanks

John

they're LEDs. you can buy them from Honda, but the bitch is pulling apart your dash to get to them. I've done it a few times and it annoys me to even think about again as a light went out on me once more.

As Spock would say, "Fascinating!".

jwa4378 - If the light you're talking about is green, then it's an LED and it's soldered to the circuit board and I bet Honda doesn't have replacements. If it's white or amber, it's a backlight bulb, actually a "grain of wheat" light bulb mounted in a twist-off holder. You can get them from Honda. The bulb itself is easy to change but it's a good amount of work to remove the dash panel to get to it. Remove the cover around the ignition lock, loosen the steering column so it drops down an inch or two, pull the 2 screws out above the speedo, then start prying the panel off (I might have missed a step but I think that's it). Careful you don't scratch anything.
