Default Looking for head unit that streams through bluetooth

The main reason why i want BT streaming is so that i can stream navigation instructions from phone, streaming music and taking calls is also nice. would like SD-slot, dont care about CD player or iPhone controls..... Crutchfield seems to have only shitty ones.....Sony units are ugly, Clarion is questionable too....

If you have an iPhone, it outputs audio via the 30 pin USB cable. There is no real need to stream music or voice navigation via bluetooth. You will have better audio quality by listening to your music via the USB cable as well. Leave your phone's bluetooth on for phone calls and use the USB cable to charge your phone, listen to music and listen to voice navigation.

That's easy -- just make sure the head unit supports A2DP.

You'll have to clarify what you think is acceptable then. Never assume that your own preferences are universal.

I like Kenwood and Pioneer units, Alpine also pretty good, but looks like none of them support A2DP

Alpine supports A2DP with KCE-400BT add on. The KCE-400BT can not be added to Alpine head units with built in bluetooth (Such as CDE-125 and 126BT which do not feature A2DP support).

I was providing additional information regarding the Alpine head units. I don't really care what you purchase so long as it works for you.

The bluetooth box is rather small. I placed mine underneath the head unit.
