Default Looking to install LED 7440 in F/R turn signals

Looking to swap out my OEM turn signal bulbs for LED ones...will I need to add a resistor in order to prevent the "rapid blink"? or is it a simple plug and play bulb swap?

if your talkin about the side markers... I have white LEDs in mines and theres no rapid blink... if your talking about the headlights... I believe you do... i know for sure if you replace both side and headlights you will need a resistor

i'm not talking about the headlights...those are just D2S bulb swaps
i'm not talking about the side marker lights...those are just 164 bulb swaps

both require no resistor

i'm talking about the turn signal (f/r) lights..the ones that blink amber in the headlights and taillights. i want to replace those with LEDs, but need to figure out if i'll have to put a resistor in to prevent "rapid blinking"

sorry i was unclear on my earlier post... i meant the amber ones IN the headlight unit. I know that if you replace both the (f/r) and the side markers... you do have to throw in a resistor... if you only switch out one, you should be fine. If you plan to in the future switch both to LEDs... its a good idea to throw in the resistor.

do you know what voltage of resistor i would need? or is the voltage amount already on the oem bulb?

that information I do not know... I've been looking at other honda forums and they all give mixed answers... some work some don't... When my car is back up and running, I'm going to take the ambers in my AP2 headlights out and throw in white LEDs. I'll let you know as soon as i'm done. possibly won't be done for a month.

12 volts... but resistance is a different story.

wouldn't it need to be the same voltage on the resistor? because the LEDs should run on a lower voltage than the OEM bulbs, so a resistor (if i'm correct with my thinking) should match up.

OR would a resistor be needed with the same voltage as the LEDs?
