I agree with all the praise.

I have Kenwood XR600s in front and Lucid/Polk EX403s in back. Mixing brands causes no problems as far as I am concerned.

I definitely think the rear 'fill' speakers are a good idea, but it is not one solution for all. I was very disappointed with the match of the Polks and my A/D/S front speakers. I replaced the Polks with A/D/S 4's and am very happy with the result. Although some of the detractors insist the all components must be forward, others maybe never got the speakers properly matched.. but the loudest detractors never even tried it.

I'm a little concerned about installing rear speakers. At 6' 2" tall I have my seat fully extended and have the passenger seat in the same position. For others that have installed rear speakers and have their seats fully extended is there a appreciable increase in sound?

I always drive with the seat fully extended. The passenger seat, just slightly forward of that if no one is in it. And I find a noticeable improvement in the quality, clarity and level of sound with the rear speakers installed. Nearly as dramatic as when I pulled the stock speakers out and put in a pair of sony 1631's. Well worth the $$, IMHO.
