Default Modding the CR peak power Indicator

Okay so the CR trim comes with a peak power indicator that blinks at 7000 and stays constant at 7800. Im planning on changing my redline to 8500. Im sure its possible to use the peak power indicator as a shift light since AP2 tach's are pretty much useless after 8000.

Any ideas on how it can be changed to blink at 8000 and stay on at 8300?

Here's a vid of the light I'm talking about.

tell me when you get this done!

Thinking blinking from 6.5-7.5, solid 7.5-8300, then flashing redline from 8300-8500?

I'd recommend get a euro guage cluster with the 9k redline and peak power indicator. It'll be expensive, but you could actually see your revs all the way up that way.

well unfortunately the peak power indicator is only on CR's which is US only. But with 9k I wont really need it.

But, isnt the mileage logged in the cluster? Plus Id have temperature in celcius and speed in km/h

Have you considered the Modifry shift beeper? That is much better than a shift light on the dash. As my flight instructor always drilled, keep your eyes looking outside the cockpit.

Correct, the CR is US only, but the Type S is very similar to the CR, I wouldn't be surprised if it has a peak power indicator.

Also, just like on the USDM cluster, its pretty easy to switch between km/h and mph.

I'm pretty sure the TypeS in Japan has the F22(8k). I'm also not sure if the 'JDM' cluster have the option to switch to MPH.

You need to get a UK cluster. They aren't hard to find but expensive.

Perhaps the more important question is how you plan on changing your redline as you may find that more difficult then you imagine.
