modifry?
yeah i sent him an email that never got a reply. Actually i sent three in the past few months with no replies to any of them. This is the reason why i haven't ordered anything from him, since i'm worried about just losing my money.

I bet he is swamped, but this smells like a possibility of an over active spam filter. Those things can be a PIA.

All - I apologize for any late or missing email, but I'm still here and have no plans to go anywhere. I do travel a LOT for my regular job and that sometimes interferes with email response, also the fact that I give priority to existing customers sometimes means the "before sale" questions get answered later.
But - I get quite a lot of rejected, returned, and undeliverable email messages. Sometimes I can figure out what's going on, like when the customer types the return email incorrectly on his order form. If it's a "ahoo.com" or "gail.com" account I can figure it out but if it's something other than a common email name there's not much I can do. I have at least 10 different "Delivery Failure" notices since January 1 where a customer contacted me, I replied to his email, but my reply was returned. I know I've had instances where a customer emails me 3 or 4 times and I reply EVERY time, but it's obvious he never receives my reply. In those cases there is not much I can do, as the only contact information I have is the email address that obviously doesn't work.
Some examples of recently returned email:
Your message to: XXX@saudercf.com was blocked by our Spam Firewall
User unknown; rejecting: XXX@quotidianoimmobiliare.info
This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed
XXquisitions@hotmail.com
This is a permanent error; <XXX@intelligraphy.com>:user is over quota
The following address(es) failed: XXX@ufl.edu SMTP error from remote mailer
Now, it's also possible my spam filter grabs some of your email too, though I try to review it occasionally to catch those errors. If you're going to send me an email with a subject line like "A question for you" or "Hey Bob" or "What are you up to?" or "Photos for you" then you should not expect a reply very soon. I get these every day and they're not from customers, at least not 99% of the time, so the spam filter has learned to grab them.
Why I do not use PM - I used to use PM but I would get a PM and an email from the same person but because I have no way to know it's the same person I take the time to reply to both, only to have the customer start using email for the next 2 communications then switch back to PM and it quickly becomes impossible to keep up with what's going on. Secondly, I don't get to the forums as much as I'd like, certainly not every day, sometimes not even once a week, so if I left PMs turned on you'd be expecting a response that you may not get for a long time. By turning off my PMs it lets people know they have to use email to contact me.
One more note - Nobody EVER loses his money. Any Modifry Product can be returned within 30 days for a refund, for any reason, even if it's been installed. I picked 30 days because PayPal limits refunds to 60 days, so that allows time for shipping. But that's not a hard and fast rule - I just sent a refund check to a guy that's been trying since October to get a shift beeper working on his hot-rod mustang that has a non-stock ignition system and for whatever reason it just wouldn't work right. Even though the shift beeper isn't made for that application and he "took a chance" buying it, I still gave him a refund. So if you lost your money it's because you gave up or didn't contact me.
Suggestion - Any of you that have not received a response please email me again and include your screen name. That way if you are one of the "email rejects" I can at least come back here and let you know.

I had a question too for him that I never got a reply back for... Ordered the DCI anyways though and got it in less than a week. Would have appreciated it more if he replied to my previous question but I figured it out later.
I did a search in my email for "Dan H" or any variations and the only messages I can find are your order on 1/14/08. For some reason I didn't get your email. Sorry.

Are you still using the same email address? All my spam filtering is done locally (on my PC) so I should receive everything sent to me. While apparent spam automatically goes into a separate "junk" folder I review that folder daily and move the obvious junk to a trash folder, but I don't delete the trash for at least 30 days. "Real" email I keep forever. If I were to search for an email you sent since late December (the age of my current trash folder) what should I look for?
