Default Modifry DCI Problem (No Support?)

Hi All,

I bought a Modifry DCI (wired) for my Kenwood KDC-X998.

I think I have it configured properly (there are only four dip switches, so it would be hard to get it wrong), yet it isn't quite working as expected.

I haven't tried everything yet, but the volume and the SVC seems to be working fine... The one "in your face" feature that doesn't seem to work is the "Mute" function. The button on my dash lights up when I press it...but the audio is not muted.

I tried to go to the Modifry website to get support, but can't figure out how to contact them. I completely understand that this is a part-time business for the owner...and also completely understand not having phone support, or regular support hours. However, the email section where their email support address would normally be, is blank.

Can anyone help me? Either help me with my problem, or help me get in contact with the Modifry owner(s)?

Thanks!

The Contact Us section lists his email.
He recently updated his site, and not all the documentation has been
moved over - here's a link to his old help page.

Interesting that you see something, and I can't....maybe it's my browser... I am using Chrome (see screenshot)...

Oh... And by the way, thanks for the old help page... There is a section on mis-behaving mute buttons... I'll definitely check this out...

That's interesting!
I'm on Chrome too (Version 39.0.2171.99 m). If I go to the "contact us" page, his email address is
visible, but cannot be copied to the clipboard. I'm sure he did something to stop it from being
harvested by spambots, which is why I pointed to a link to it rather than put it in a post, but
in retrospect I'm glad somebody else did, as you can't see it.
Are you running any ad- or script- blocking extensions? On my browser there is more below the
"Returns?" that appears to be the bottom of your screenshot.

How funny... I am running an ad blocker called "Ad Block"... It is a Chrome extension...

I "paused" the block, and sure enough, his email showed up!!! Wild... I would have never guessed that an ad blocker would block anything other than banner ads and pop-ups...

Oh, and even with the Ad Block paused, I still don't see anything below the "Returns?" section... Weird...

Ad blockers work by comparing the URL to either known ad servers, or patterns that are commonly used,
such as a URL with "/ad/" as part of it. I had a private email exchange with Bob last week when I
noticed that his installation instruction PDFs were being blocked because their URL included /adds/
as part of the path. When I looked at the page source, his email address is being pulled from one
of those URLS, hence it's being blocked by your Ad Block.
The missing footer on your computer is something different, perhaps being blocked because you have
Javascript disabled?
