modifry infrared and alpine 9886

did a search and didn't find anything. does the modifry infrared dci work with the alpine cda-9886?

i have it with the 9884, so i dont see how it wouldnt work for the 9886

yes it works with the 9886... it emulates the features of the remote

It will but why wouldn't you use the wired DCI?

because i found one used for a decent price. if i was getting a new one, i wouldn't even consider the infrared.
