I'm considering trying to mount my amp (PG 500.4 Ti) vertically, to the left of the spare tire area. I did a search and found a bunch of different examples - it seems someone has an Alpine 450 and succeeded? My amp measures 16"(l)x10"(w), with connections on the bottom. The Alpine measures 16.7"(l) and ~9.5"(w), so I'm guessing it can be done? On the other hand, someone has the Tantrum 600.4 and noted that it was a very tight fit (.25" overlap with spare cover) -- and that amp is only 14.25" long (but does have side connections). Any thoughts?
