Default Mounting Cellphone/GPS Holder

I have the below and wish not to have it off the windshield.

It comes with a suction cup for glass and a plastic plate that when stuck somewhere the suction cup will stick to it.

I want the phone/gps to be to the right of the stereo head unit. So I tried to mount it to the underside of the dash. Where the plastic plate would be out of sight when not holding the mount. I will only have this holder out for longer trips you see.

Failed once with the original sticky pad and then upgraded with super sticky double sided tape. It failed after about 2 hours.

Seems the underside of the dash isn't coarse enough for sticky to work.

How have you guys got similar setups to work?
Have a different product you recommend?

Get the Panavise bracket if you want it to the right of the head unit.

The ProClip mount will attach to the center console to the left of the shifter.

I have both of the above but also have and prefer the Modifry bracket.

All 3 of these options will require a separate device mount that attaches to the bracket.

Got it sorted. Thanks guys. Mounted, with super glue a plastic disc out of site. Mount sticks to it and is invisible when not used.
