Default Mounting MP3 Player on dash....

Hey guys I just got one of these Creative Zens which are really tiny.

http://reviews.cnet.com/mp3-players/creati...?tag=prod.img.4

I love it and I plug it into the aux input on the front of my Sony head unit. It works perfectly but I'd really like it to be displayed on the front of the dash instead of always having to put it in the little compartment in front of the shifter. I've searched and found some different mounting methods.

I'd like to find a method to not permanently harm the dash or car in any way. I've found some mounts that work like the GPS holders that use suction on the dash but they stick on with 3M adhesive. Won't that hurt the dash? I also want something really clean. I preferably want something clean and something very simple so I can just place the player on top every time I get in the car.

Any suggestions? Pictures would be nice too.

I used a magnetic cell phone holder - very small and can be removed without any harm to your dash

Good idea unless your MP3 player has a hard drive (like most MP3 players on the market except the new ipod nanos which use flash drives) ... the magnet will wipe out a hard drive

No, the Creative I just bought uses flash memory. Do I have to stick one end on the dash with adhesive? If so, won't that ruin the dash? Also, do I have to leave the other end attached to the player?

regular double sided tape is okay but the best stuff I have ever used is a product by 3M I believe... it's super strength double sided foam adhesive tape to be used on tricky surfaces like brick, etc. It's a grey colored tape on a roll, with red backing. I found it at WalMart. However, pretty much anything that adheres to your dash will look crappy when removed if it's there long enough. Unfortunately, it's either that or an arm mount that attaches to the transmission tunnel.

Thanks Bass! I'm a little scared of installing that Modifry Mount. Is it hard to install? I don't want to ruin my interior.
