Default MP3 question for 7878 owners

Alright, so I've got the 7878. How do I need to copy MP3s to my Cd-RW in order to get them to work. Right now I have a disk with a bunch of folders on it, each of which has the contents of an entire CD. EX: Metallica Folder, 13 songs in the folder.
The head unit doesn't want to play the disk. My computer will play the disk fine so I know I recorded them ok. I also double checked to see if they were in MP3 format. I read through the manual, but I'm not sure I understand the format they're asking for. Can someone explain it to me?

Most head units do not read CD-RW disk ! U have to burn it onto CD-R disk, and close the session, otherwise, other than your computer, none will be able to read. Read your manual.

Enjoy !

I'm fairly sure that this is the case. Just take all the songs out of the folders so that you have a cd with nothing but mp3's no folders or anything else.

I currently dont have the dash controls hooked up. But I know Pinky sells the unit, so Im sure its not a big deal. Its the best in-dash MP3 player in my opinion. I havent had a single issue with it. Highly recommended!

The manual specifically says the 7878 reads CD-RWs, and it also has this line in it "The maximum nested folder depth is 8 (including the root directory). File/Folder names are limited to 31 characters..." blah blah blah. So I'm guessing that folders are allowed but what does the nesting thing mean?

Also for those talking about dash controls, the PAC SWI-X works beautifully with the 7878. ALL the functions work.

Nested folders are directories within directories.

In the windows world you might have;
c:winntservices32devicesdriver.dll

The object is the .ddl file, and it is nested in the devices folder, which is in the services32 folder, which is nested in the winnt folder, which is in-turn in the c: dir space.

It's easier to relate to UNIX file systems;

/usr/local/sbin/file

file is nested within 4 directories.

That is what nesting means.
