if it does work with my pioneer deck, i will probably order your rear speaker system at the same time. my question is, do i need to get any harness to go from my pioneer deck to your rear speaker kit?
thanks

I tried to see if the remote matches, but it doesn't, and glad my question was answered.

Even though the remotes may differ brands typically stay with their signals. For example, the Kenwood remote from a Mp8017 (2001 model) will work with a MP919 (2002) both are different remotes.

My DCI arrived today! I'll get it installed after dinner.

Lucid,

Two questions:

1) Any idea if the DCI works with Blaupunkt radios (obviously that have an IR remote control interface)?

2) Is the DCI available without the whole S2000 harness (I already have one...two actually...one for the stock HU and one for the aftermarket HU & PAC SWI-X)?

Very interested in getting one if it works with Blaupunkt.

Thanx.

All units are packages WITH the S2000 harness for easy installation. Right now its the only option. Lessons learned from the Sony DCIs is that most that went out WITHOUT a harness needed tech support on finding wires.

Next month I'll add an option for a PnP harness with brands I work with : Clarion, kenwood.

Dohoon: depth isnt an issue its a basket SHAPE and magnet diameter. dia. has to be less than 3.125"

modifry, can I paint the back of the IR transmitter black so that it is less noticeable when mounted towards top of head unit like in your pics? Although I have my radio door closed most of the time, I don't really want to see the transmitter when it's open.

For that Alpine unit, do you think it would still work with the transmitter to the right or left of the head unit?

Any other ideas on where to place the transmitter for people that use the SWI-X?

For anyone that has installed this already, please post what you think. It looks like a great device.
