my additions to the S
Since I got my car in December, I have been making some slight changes / additions. The first thing was hardwiring my Passport 8500 in. I know many people like to to be low to the dash, I prefer high near the rearview.
This pic shows the location of the radar detector.

This pic shows the location of the remote location mute button, right near my right knee for easy acess. Also you can see my Alpine 9883 (with Modifry DCI) that was project number 2. (along with new speakers)

I struggled with where to mount my Nav. unit. Since getting the car, it has been occupying my cup holder. This def. needed to change. with the top down it was nearly impossible to read the screen in addition to being slightly dangerous to take my eyes off the road to look down beside me. I looked at above the radio by using the modifry kit, but decieded on left side of windshield.
This image shows last weekends project - this was to put a USB port near the left A-pillar for my Nav. unit. it is plugged into a power outlet that is located up under the dash on the passanger side and run across and up to the top of the dash.

Here is the mounting area with the Nav. unit in place. All that is needed is a 12 inch USB cable from the port to the unit. Unless you know what you are looking for it is hard to see the port.
