Best location for V1 conceal display???
I just picked up a Valentine One conceal display unit for my s2000 and was wondering where is the best place to mount it. I've read a few threads that have it placed right under the Air conditioning controls. Any feedback on this location? Has anyone mounted theirs in front of the dash? Thanks!!!!
Check out how Rick has his set up - it looks pretty good in this thread
I recall seeing another pic of the remote somewhere in the dash display(speedo) area. I know I'm going to try to find a place as much in the line of sight as possible. With the top down, audio may not quite cut it.

My V1s are plenty loud enough, even top down at speed with the stereo blasting.
It is easier to see the arrows if you mount the remote display in a line-of-sight area, but around town (I run in all bogie mode) it is a pain to have to reach around the wheel to mute it.
In one car I have the V1 above the mirror where I can get to the button, so the display is on the instrument cluster. On another the V1 is behind the mirror, so I put the display down in the center console - easier to hit the button but I have to look down to see the arrows.
Neither of these is an S2000, since I do not have one (yet)
, but the idea would be the same. If you can mount the V1 so it is not too visable but you can get to the button for muting, then having the display in the instrument cluster is the way to go. If you run in one of the logic modes (fewer falses) then having to hit the mute button my not be an issue.
I THINK the beeps still come from the main unit, and not the remote display, so placement should not matter for being able to hear it.
