Default My main fuse (40 amp) keeps blowing?

While driving the dash lights go off and the engine dies. My battery tested low so i replaced it. Then it happened again. Replaced the fuse and was good for 2 more days. Then it happened again tonight. What should I check next? Thanks in advance.

Start by telling us more about your mods to the car, ICE?, was the car ever involved in an accident?

Fuses pop becasue there is a short or is overloaded.....

No ICE at all. My only mods are supercharger, header and exhaust. Never been in a accident. Never had even one problem ever for almost 4 years.

This morning I blew 2 more fuses. Both times immediatly after turning the key into the ignition. At least the first few times the car would fire up and run?

A definite short. Check the grounding of the supercharger is if looks okay, disconnect supercharger and see if fuses blow. That sounds like its the only electrical component you added.

could be a short on the wires that feed the starter because when you turn the key to on it must send 12v to the starter - not too sure the solinoid is but that MIGHT be the problem

Do you have a aftercooler installed along with the supercharger? If so, my guess would be that the power source going to the water pump is shorting out (check wire or relay). Also, check the fuse box under the hood to see if the main battery and/or ignition fuse is secured. The screw can back off making a poor electrical contact. Its happen to me on my civic. Everytime I went to start the car it would run for a little bit then die. Go to find out that I had a loose screw on the fuse and the vibration from the motor running would cause it to make a poor connection. I hope this helps, just an experience I had.
