hmmm....what car.....how about a VW Thing? Seriously, if you are selling the S, you are are probably not in the roadster market. What comes out next year that would make you re-assemble your whole system again.....hmmmm.....M5 maybe?

$289 is not that bad. What are the specs on the 10" sub? (RMS, freq. response, etc)

Information regarding to Lotus by Seas products can be found at:

www.mobileSQ.com
www.seaslotus.com

Or contact MR ASDF on this forum. He usually lurks around here. MR ASDF is a qualified (and only) sales rep for Seas Lotus products, that I know of.

Here are the specifications to the 10" Seas Lotus SW250, taken directly from mobileSQ:

Well those are the specs.

As for the new car, if I am going Porsche, I only go Carrera S. But thats not what I am going for.

I really want to go Turbo, so that gives you an idea.

Only reason I am selling the S, is that I am coming out of warranty, so I usually just trade after 3 years. Nothing wrong with the S, actually its on the list of possible replacements. I just wish they would come out with a white and red interior color scheme again, then for sure I would get another one.

No, no, no sky or soltice.

When I first pulled the sub out, I thought to myself this thing is small, but it does weigh alot. I will post up a review, since I really thought highly of the ALpha, the SEAS has alot to live up to, in my eyes.

The cone is made out of Aluminun (I think), MR ASDF can confirm this.

Any other guesses on the new car.
Yes, the cone is made out of aluminum. the aluminum is pretty darn thin compared to other aluminum subs. the superlightweight cone is why the Lotus subwoofers have a super fast transient response.

about the grill, not sure about any grills other than the P.E. bar grill. sorry... my experience on grills is limited.

turbo ay... ummm... my guess would be STI?

LOL ketchup on a steak!

STI was close, but I am looking into a normal WRX, I figured I would save the almost $8000 cost to go to an STI, and just upgrade myself.

$8000 to upgrade will have me smoking STI's. (bigger turbo, boost controller, down pipes, turbo back exhaust, cams)

Still working on the research though.

pikkashoe.....if you have the extra cheddar lying around, check out the Lotus Elise. There is a turbo package for that car that puts 275 to the ground. STOCK with 190hp at the crank it runs sub 5 sec. 0-60. It was in the Car and Driver tuner edition a few months back. Out ran pretty much everything, and it weighs UNDER 2000lbs.

My mom represents Lotus (Attorney).....I got to ride in a turbo Esprit as well as a stock Elise. The Elise is SICK! It handles like NO OTHER CAR ON THE ROAD. Rides like its on RAILS.

Yeah i actually went and checked out the Elise, it was great, until I sat in it, i did not like the amount of effort needed to get in and out of it. Well actually, I dont mind, but the girl will. I never test drove it, but also for that kind of money, I would get myself a vette.

I think its easier to get in on the passenger's side, as the driver's seat is offset to the center of the car by a few inches (did you notice the wider driver's door sill?). Rather ingenious, but as you stated, kind of a pain to get in and out of if you are the driver. I found he passenger's side easier to get in and out of (a bit more difficult than the S because of the more aggressive seats as well as the lower seating position).

I would check it out again, and just imagine it with 275 to the GROUND instead of he 190 to the crank (with roughly a 20% drivetrain loss, thats only 152 to the wheels).
