Of course the amp only has a mono output from a stereo source, if you really need stereo sub output then 2 amp channels are required...

Ohhhh -- ok! I was getting caught up with the actual number of channels and didn't know this about JL's amps!

Thanks for the info!

You can also wire up multiple subs and still present the amplifier a 4 ohm load. That is the main benefit of DVC subs...they give you lots of wiring options.

I'm the proud owner of Kelvin's system, and I LOVE it. Awesome sound, awesome flexibility. If you need any help, lemme know.

If you are an owner you will need to put your vehicle VIN number into your profile. Once you have done that you will have access to a owners album were you can down load your pictures from your hard drive. Then you will be able to add pictures to your post using insert photo from your album button. If you are not an owner you need to store them on a webpage and post picture via a URL link to the webpage. Hope that helps.

Would circuit breakers be a good idea for your sound system? I know most houses today have these. They're good for expensive electrical equipment. They last much much much longer than fuses do.

If I remember correctly circuit breakers work based on heat, so it would not be a good idea, stick with a fuse. The fuse is basically there only to protect you from a short in the power line, so it should not blow unless something is wrong (if it is size properly). The fuses in the equipment will protect the equipment.

Souljha, the system looks good. I am also going to do a similar install. Where are you going to locate the tweeters? The Focals are seperates so the driver can go where the OEM coaxials are, but the tweeters will need to be placed somewhere else. Any ideas where you're going to put them?
