Default MY06 Remote Start - Immobilizer Bypass question

Hey guys!

First post, so please be a little patient with me...

Before I start, please note that I've read through all the threads that stated the pros and cons of remote start and my question is not whether or not to install one. I have had one on my '00 Civic SI for several years with no issues and liked the convenience of it...

I recently got the Clifford 2-way paging alarm with remote start and found a shop that would do it...While installing the alarm, everything works fine with the exception of the remote start. The shop is using the 556U interface, but the remote start will only work if the key is in the ignition (which kinda defeats the purpose of a remote start... ).

I'm wondering if this is due to the new ignition key circuit and and immobilizer module noted by Yflyer at s2ki link. If this is the cause, is there a bypass module that is available out there?

I have searched and read every thread on this and can't find anything...Any help you guys could offer would be great!

<Also, I love how the majority of s2k drivers, at least in the LA area, give the V or a wave...My fiancee thinks it's stupid, but I love it...Can't wait to contribute to this community!>

the dei 556uw will work , someone just didn't know how to hook it up right or got lazy... sometimes the key doens't have strong enough of an RF signal for the 556 to pick it up (there fixing that soon) So they need to do it another way ... use a relay , and the wrap the key around the clyninder , then wrap it around the key , use the neg when activated wire , on DEI it's blue with white , to one side of the relay , then 12v to the other side..... here's what the relay should look like (excuse the drawing)

....................l ............. (one side of the key)

Power........l...---...l........ -ground when activated (blue/white)-nothing in the mid

.....................--- (other side of the key)

if you take it to the shop and tell them this it'll work...

don't mind the dots s2ki doesn't allow the format I wanted...

Unhappy

My installer said he tried this. According to him, he said he even had the key sitting right on top of the ignition and that it still wouldn't turn. Any help?
