hey guys, just curious if any of you have the navi system. i see bezels and whatnot for sale but never thought much of it till my old man got a 09 Civic with the navi and its pretty sweet. Looking for pictures of the dash install and opinions on the system. Thanks!!

There are definitely threads on this. It's a lot of custom work to get it installed properly since there's only a JDM (RHD) bezel.

There is no factory Nav system for the North American market. You would have to custom build one.

Yup. I have an alpine navi custom installed into where the rear-view mirror used to be.

I don't have an iPhone yet (been waiting for the 3G model) but can the iPhone be mounted somewhere to act as a GPS? The new iPhone has A-GPS (assisted GPS) and was wondering if the modifry mounts might be modified to hold the iPhone... just a thought.

That should work. All you will need is something to hold the iPhone.

Personally, I use my Blackberry 8310 (with Telenav) and a Proclip mount. You should easily be able to do something similar with the iPhone.

Free. Iphones use ATTs ground antennas to triangulate your location. It doesn't use GPS.
