How do I get this piece off that goes around the gauge cluster? I need to drill a couple holes in it beneath the cruise control button.

Secondly, besides the obvious screw holding this piece in, what else do I need to do to get it out? I need to run my hardwire kit for my radar detector through the middle to tap in to the fuse panel on the driver side.

FYI there's nothing underneath the cruise control button, so you can drill in place... However, there's two screws hidden under plastic covers on the interior of that trim panel. They are near the gauge cluster, on the inside of the gauge cluster area. If you look closely you'll see the covers. Remove them, unscrew the phillips screw and the rest of the panel will pop off. You'll need a short screw driver. Disconnect all the connectors and you're good to go..

The trim piece with one screw in your second picture will pop right off once that screw is removed.

Awesome, thanks a lot. So I would be safe to drill 2 1/2" holes below the cruise control without coming into contact with anything? This is where I will be putting the on/off switch for my laser jammer and the mute button for my radar detector. It would be nice if I didn't have to take that surround piece off.
