Hey guys just last weekend I installed a Pioneer Premier DEH-P590IB and some Alpine type-r 6.5s. I noticed I had some extra wires left. There's a dimmer wire, remote(I was told I didn't need that unless I was running an amp), and a yellow/black wire that doesn't say anything. CD player works and everything but now my 5 little buttons(trip/odo., clock etc.) don't light up when I have my lights on. And I noticed that the dash isn't as bright also. I'll take pics and post up the wires later when I get home. Anyways how come my buttons don't light up and the dash is also a bit darker than it should be. I'm really knew when it comes to this kind of stuff so any advice would help. I tried the search but found nothing.

 

Is it possible that the dimmer is way down on your dash lights? Try pressing the "+" button on the dash a few times to see.
