I've been thinking it would be really nice if the center console would lock/unlock using the remote for the doors. I really don't have any idea where to start on this. Anybody have any ideas or advice?

 

you'd have to put in some sort of actuator on the lock but I think it would take up to much space and look ugly inside the door but it is inside though. just my opinion.

 

Yeah, i'm confident i can work up the electronics end but i've never done anything w/ the mechannical end. I don't really care too much what it looks like inside, i'm just tired of starting the car, then realizing i have to take the key out to unlock the console.

thanks dozen5. Hadn't seen that thread. It's close to what i'm thinking.

 

i've seen modifry's and it looks and works pretty well. i believe it was in prototyping stages when i saw it.

like so many things modifry -- it's hard to go wrong.
