Does anyone know if the stock HU that comes in the 03 civic DX (w/o a cd player) has an input plug to add a factory honda cd changer to play cds? I need a cd player but would rather stay oem than go get an aftermarket HU.

 

yes, I am almost positive. You can add a cd changer or a single cd player that goes in the slot under the stereo.

also, you can usually find the LX or EX cd player for sale on the civic forums for around $50 and just swap it out with yours.
fyi...I just ordered a JVC cd/mp3 player from www.onlinecarstereo.com (model # KDS890) for $129. The wiring harness was $4.95 and I ordered the dash kit from circuitcity.com for $15. I will let you know how it sounds. The install is supposed to be pretty easy on the civic.

 

hmm, i see, I was wondering if i could install the factory cd changer to the stock hu and have it play cds? This is because if I were to get another hu, I don't like the idea of having just a radio hu laying around the house.
