Default need some help from the experts

Hey guys i just started working at circuit city and i got a crazy discount on kicker and eclipse products. (70% or more).

Im geting the Eclipse CD5100 headunit.

Im also geting 6.5" Kicker RS series front speakers. Im doing 0 AWG power wiring and 12 AWG speaker wiring.

I was wondering wut size speakers are our rear oem speakers?

Also what amp that kicker makes should i get to support the 2 front speakers? Is the zx2002 or zx2502 good?

If i get both rear and fronts what amp should i get?

And im not geting a sub...

How does all this sound? will the sound be significantly clearer and louder than stock?

The s2k doesn't have rear speakers.

no rears. 6.5 in the front as you stated and i like 5.5 in the back. if you go 6.5 in the back, it will be a tight fit.

12 gauge is subwoofer wire, i hope ur not using that for speaker wire.. I would go with 16 gauge and nothing bigger..
And why would u run 0 gauge.. are u running like 1500 rms..

Not to be mean but do u know what RMS is...
Also if u work at circuit city couldn't u ask them for ur info...
I hope they didn't recommend that, but i would believe it coming from circuit.

no its jsut that for power wire i get 0 awg for the same price as 4 awg and 8 awg.

Also i wasn't recommended it to me by CC but i was told that if i get all the wires for the same price i might as well get the best one ryte?

so i thought id do 0 awg for power wire b.c it wont cost me nething extra.

and yes i do know what rms is.... the Kicker speakers im geting r 100 watts rms.... so im prob going to get the zx2502 to power it

so would 0 AWG power wire hurt my car? is it better to have it if it wont cost me nething?

Yea you are costing yourself about 20-30 pounds in extra wire and making it harder to run the wire cleanly.

No reason to overdue it even if you can.

0 Gauge in the S2K is not a good idea...even if the $$$ are the same for you. The wire is much heavier and thicker and will be difficult to run and hide in the car...FYI there won't be an extra 30 pounds with the thicker 0 gauge wire....that's just over exaggerating. I would still recommend the 4 gauge though...I'm running 1200 watts RMS and the 4 gauge is fine.

12 gauge speaker wire is over kill also for the doors. You'll get it to fit if you only run 1 set through the stock wire boot and mount your crossover in the door panel. If you are expecting to run 2 pair and mount crossover somewhere else you will have a Hell of a time getting them through the stock wire boot. 16 gauge is plenty.

You do realize you are only going to get 85 watts RMS per channel into your front speakers. Kicker...as most others rates their amps at 2 ohms. Your Kicker speakers are 4 ohm.

You might want to consider the ZX200.4. Run it bridged stereo and you'll get 100 watts RMS into 4 ohms...better match for your speakers. The amp is also shorter in length. 10 1/4 vs 13 1/2 for the ZX250.2. That will make a difference if you choose to add a sub and another amp later on....

Oh yeah...don't bother with the rears....no improvement and just run your new head unit to power them. No use amping them or replacing them.
