Couldn't you just wire one up then use the same POS/NEG from that one and wire the other one up as well? There's 3 terminal, one is POS, one is NEG, and the last one goes to your SOURCE.
You could just wire both up with the same POS/NEG but one SOURCE goes to one and the other SOURCE goes to the other one. Don't know if that makes sense . That's my .02...

Ummm... yeah... most switches only have an 'in' and 'out'

Here's who you do it:

Take the pos 12v feed from the fuse block(on the ing side of the harness) and wire it so both switches use the same 12v feed.
Then wire the only side from one switch to one wire from the dash lights and do the same for the amp lights.
Take the other wire from the dash lights and the amp lights and just ground them on a good ground under the dash and in the trunk.

Its very easy.

12v -------------switch 1------dash light pos-----ground
\_________switch 2____amp light pos____ground

I don't think that would work because the first switch would have to be on for the second one to work. I want the lights to turn on same as the dome lights when you open the door. I have a diagram on how to do it but i tried it and it didn't work. I kept blowing fuses. So i gave up on wiring it like that for now and wired the switches normally.

I believe MacGyver did something similar to this.... He triggered it to go on similar to the dome light, as the dome light is pretty much useless anyway. He had a diagram posted for a while... but he may have also used LED's, but same principle.

You need to install a relay on the door trigger wire. You can get at it under the dash or behind the door trigger itself. You want the relay to switch the power on and off with the door opening and closing... You need to have the relay wired normally open then when the door opens it closes.

Its very easy, as I did it in my car. I have lights in the door handles and in some custom panels that light up when the door is opened or even just unlocked.

I tried wiring them up to a relay but it didn't work. When i tried to put in my fuse it blew. So i wired it directly to the switches. I dont' know what i did wrong.
