Dash Lights and Keyless Entry not working
Ok, I bought a wiring harness from best buy and I wired up a Kenwood HU in my AP1 s2k. Everything is working as far as the system/subs/amp however I have lost my keyless entry and my dash lights are out. All other electrical systems are functioning correctly like my lights, turn signals etc.
I noticed on the wiring harness/adapter that there are wires for "dash illumination" and "dimmer". Since they aren't color coded to the kenwood harness I left them alone.
Does anyone know where the "dash illumination" and "dimmer" wires are supposed to be tapped into the kenwood harness? There aren't any corresponding wires to match up. The only loose wires from my kenwood harness are the antenna/rear speaker wires since i have no power antenna and no rear speakers (sub is running from pre-out)
Can anyone help me troubleshoot as to why I lost my keyless entry and dash lights? My guess is I need to splice these 2 wires somewhere I just don't know where....

i ended up pulling the fuses for the keyless and the small light fuses and could clearly see they were both blown. i replace them and purchased a 20 piece fuse replacement set since i'll probably need them later on anyways..
for any future noob installers out there (like myself lol)...if you're confident you wired it up right then simply check the corresponding fuses located in the under dash fuse box to see if they are blown. if that doesn't solve the problem then yea you probably need to look at your wiring throughout your system
i'm no expert though so take my advice w/ a grain a salt
