tomk, it all depends if you are willing to take the risk on the Asia model (I'm not sure if you've included the shipping cost in you calculation) and how much you anticpate using the radio functions. If you can do without, then definitely go for it.

I know one cannot trust ebay feedback, but there seem to be plenty of happy UK customers for other Alpine products.

sometimes the FM freqs are on different bands so you might not get any FM or AM reception whatsoever. Might want to check into that before you buy.
